Customized haircut

Every treatment at KC-Haircutter starts with a consultation to discuss what you like and don't like, what is bothering you and what your hair routine is. I consider the shape of your face, the hair texture and how much time you want to spend on hairstyling. We discuss all of this to create a hairstyle that suits you completely.

Asian hair

What makes Asian hair different from other hair types? Although there is much variety among Asian hair types, there are also certain characteristic features. The hair is often thicker and heavier compared to European hair. The color is often dark brown to black and if the hair is healthy, it has a lot of shine. Shiny, thick hair is what everyone wants, but it also presents challenges.

When Asian hair is not cut correctly, it will lack shape. Asian hair usually needs weight removal; this gives more volume and movement to the heavy hair. Refining the haircut when the hair is dry will soften the cutting lines. I enjoy taking time at this step to make you look fantastic.

Korean hairstyle trends are very popular nowadays for all genders.

For example, the Hush cut with medium to long hair with longer layers, soft see-through bangs and face-framing layers. The movement and softness of this haircut start in the mid-lengths and ends. The Hush cut looks best when the hair is blow-dried with a round brush.

You want an edgier look? Then a Wolf Cut might be the solution. The hair length is maintained, but I cut short, choppy layers on the crown for lots of volume and movement. For straight hair, the Wolf cut needs more styling to look nice. Creating a wavy/curly texture with a curling iron gives this haircut its characteristic volume and movement.

Asian men already know that their hair grows straight out of the scalp. With short haircuts, the hair on the sides and back should either be trimmed short or kept longer to counteract the volume. Sometimes, a wavy perm is done at longer lengths on top so that the hair falls more smoothly.

Another popular Korean cut is the Two Block, because the undercut gives a slimming effect. I can style the longer lengths for you in different ways. The Korean Wolf Cut is a nice idea if you want to keep your hair longer. It is the Asian version of the mullet. The result is softer than the mullet; the hair at the neck is longer but more in proportion and the top is long and light enough to flow backward.

Balayage

Classic balayage is a hair dyeing technique in which I paint the active ingredient onto the hair with a brush. You get a natural and blended color result: darker at the roots and lighter towards the ends.

..

Foil techniques are more modern, and I can use them to provide you with more customized and bold looks.

For classic and foil techniques, once the hair color is light enough, I'll rinse the bleach and apply a toner to create your final color. Cream blonde, ash brown, fiery red, or baby pink: it is all possible.

If you start the process with undyed hair, we can use a milder solution: the No-Bleach Balayage. Instead of bleaching, we'll use the lightening power of special hair dyes known as High-lift.
